Searching for PRSs at milliarcsecond angular scales
Persistent radio sources (PRSs) are the continuum counterparts of fast radio bursts (FRBs), yet only four such systems are currently known. The FRB-PRS connection has not been understood completely yet, and observations of a large PRS sample is needed to improve the sample statistics. In this proposal we aim to observe the PRS associated with FRB 201810130A at 5 GHz in order to measure its spectral index between 1 and 5 GHz. PRS spectra are expected to be different in case of different FRB progenitors - i.e. magnetars or black hole jets. We also aim to observe two additional PRS candidates associated with FRBs 20201130A and 20230607A at 5 GHz and only observed at arcsecond resolution up to now. Our observations will be able to confirm that they are compact at pc-scales and, therefore, add two more PRS sources to the sample.
