Title

Dual AGN J1328+2752

Abstract

We propose to observe the dual AGN candidate J1328+2752 with the European VLBI Network (EVN) at 8 GHz and 23 GHz, in a phase-referenced experiment, for a total of 15 hours. This source shows twisted jets fitted extremely well with a precession model, double-peaked lines in its optical spectrum indicating a binary black hole at a separation of ~6 parsec, two radio cores with brightness temperatures of ~10^7 K at the same separation, in our 5 GHz-only VLBA image. If the two radio cores can be confirmed to have flat or inverted spectral indices through the proposed multi-frequency observations, it will make J1328+2752 the only galaxy with all the expected characteristics of a dual AGN.

Context for this data

This data is part of the archive of VLBI data maintained by JIVE on behalf of the EVN, a network of radio telescopes located primarily in Europe and Asia, with additional antennas in South Africa. The EVN archive itself has the DOI https://doi.org/10.17616/R3Z197
