Abstract

AM Her is a magnetic cataclysmic variable star (polar), well known for its irregular changes in brightness with an amplitude of even 3 mag, which are known as high and low states. Because of a lack of simultaneous multi-wavelength observations, the mechanism responsible for these changes is still a puzzle. Using the opportunity that AM Her will be monitored continuously 24/7 in June 2024 in the optical band by the TESS satellite, we would like to conduct simultaneous radio observation of this star. Our main goal is to study simultaneously AM Her radio and optical activity, and to test the scenario of a correlation between the radio luminosity and the mass-transfer rates. Also, we will be able to check possible dependency between the orbital phase and observed radio flux. Moreover, we will improve our AM Her astrometric model and compare our final model with current and forthcoming GAIA measurements.
