Title

Methanol masers in W49N

Abstract

We propose a second epoch of observations of 6.7 GHz methanol masers in a well-known high-mass star-forming region W49N, in which four masing regions exist. We already have good quality phase-referenced EVN data from our previous observations carried out in 2010 (Bartkiewicz et al. 2014). We ask for an additional epoch separated by 10 years in order to do a detailed proper motion study and verifying the stability structure. We aim to provide the strongest direct measurement of the nature of maser sources via measurements of relative motions of maser spots in each region. Recently found excited OH masers related to G43.149+00.013 put a constraint that this source is more evolved relatively to other. We expect the diversity of mechanisms in which methanol maser arise in each site of W49N, like in gas influenced by kinematics of disks, outflows, infalls.

Context for this data

This data is part of the archive of VLBI data maintained by JIVE on behalf of the EVN, a network of radio telescopes located primarily in Europe and Asia, with additional antennas in South Africa. The EVN archive itself has the DOI https://doi.org/10.17616/R3Z197
