Title

Imaging variable sources from Irbene monitoring program

Abstract

We propose observations of three methanol maser sources at the 6.7 GHz methanol maser transition, which have been monitored with the Irbene radio telescopes over 5 years. The targets have different variability profiles and the images are necessary to put constraints on the underlying mechanisms responsible for the brithness changes. Two sources, G37.43+01.51 and G37.55+0.20, were observed using the EVN and we plan to start the proper motion studies. In a case of the third target: G37.479-0.105, we aim to obtain the first phase-referenced images. In this project, we aim to derive milliarcsecond morphologies of the emission and to identify cloudlets responsible for the observed variability. We will also start studies on the proper motion of the single maser cloudlets.

Context for this data

This data is part of the archive of VLBI data maintained by JIVE on behalf of the EVN, a network of radio telescopes located primarily in Europe and Asia, with additional antennas in South Africa. The EVN archive itself has the DOI https://doi.org/10.17616/R3Z197
